Aultman Volleyball Academy provides organized recreational volleyball opportunities for girls throughout Monroe and the surrounding Northeast Louisiana area. Our recreational volleyball leagues give athletes the opportunity to learn the game, develop their skills, build confidence, and have fun competing with teammates.

While Aultman Volleyball Academy is based in nearby West Monroe, families from Monroe regularly participate in our programs because of our convenient location, quality coaching, and commitment to youth volleyball development. Whether your daughter is completely new to volleyball or already has some experience, our recreational leagues provide a positive environment where she can continue growing as an athlete.

Recreational volleyball is a great way for girls to get involved in the sport without immediately committing to a highly competitive program. Our leagues focus on teaching athletes the fundamentals while giving them opportunities to experience practices and games with their friends and teammates.

Your daughter doesn't need years of volleyball experience to participate in Aultman Volleyball Academy's recreational volleyball. Many athletes begin their volleyball journey through a recreational league. Our leagues help beginners understand the basic skills and rules of volleyball while gradually introducing them to game situations.

For younger athletes especially, the experience is about more than learning how to pass or serve.

Not every athlete is ready for Aultman Volleyball Academy's travel volleyball program, and that's completely okay. Recreational volleyball provides a different experience focused on learning, participation, and development for players in grades 1st-8th grade.

Rec volleyball can be a great fit for athletes who:

• Want to try a new sport
• Multi-sport athletes
• Enjoy playing with friends
• Want to develop basic skills
• Aren't ready for a large competitive commitment

• Are interested in eventually playing school or club volleyball

For many athletes, recreational volleyball becomes the foundation for everything that comes later.

An athlete doesn't have to start with competitive club volleyball to become a good volleyball player.

In fact, developing strong fundamentals is one of the most important parts of long-term volleyball development. Our recreational leagues give athletes opportunities to practice and use those fundamentals in real game situations.

As players become more experienced, they can continue developing through other AVA programs, including:

  • A great option for beginners and younger athletes who want additional instruction. We offer 8-week classes for ages 3 - 8th grade that teach volleyball skills and overall athleticism.
• Private Lessons

• Club Volleyball
  • Competitive opportunities for athletes who are ready for a greater commitment and higher level of competition. Travel to weekend tournaments and prepare for high school and college opportunities.
